Tracker Precast Base Installations

Precast Tracker BaseDual Deger 5000

The above illustrates where we used a precast base to install Deger 5000HD trackers. In the top left photo you will see that there has been a hole prepared for the base with an approximate 1ft layer of stone for drainage. That stone provides the base for the concrete pad therefore we need to take great care that the stone is perfectly level.

The mast used in this case goes below ground level therefore it must be one of the taller masts available to keep the solar array well above ground.

A precast base installation is more expensive than the standard poured-on-site version but is attractive to those who prefer that the base is not so obvious. There may also be seasonal and ground condition situations where the precast, inground is more appropriate.
